Adidas has presented the official World Cup ball for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The World Cup ball is called “Telstar 18” and is visually simple and classic and is printed with gold letters. The look and the name of the official game ball are reminiscent of the original Telstar balls, which were already used at the 1974 World Cup in Germany and 1970 in Mexico. For the 2018 World Cup, adidas made the design a bit more modern.
Already in October 2017, footyheadlines.com published the first unofficial images of the gaming device. One month later, in November 2017, the World Cup ball was then officially presented by FIFA. In the friendly match Russia – Argentina on 11.11.2017, the ball then came to its first use.
